Musician Michael Mukwaya, popularly known as Mike Wine, has praised Jose Chameleone and Bobi Wine for their major contribution to the growth of Uganda’s music industry.
According to Mike Wine, the two legendary artists not only built successful music careers but also played a key role in mentoring and uplifting young talent that later rose to fame.
He noted that much of the current success and strength of Uganda’s music scene can be linked to their influence and dedication to nurturing upcoming musicians.
Mike Wine stated that Bobi Wine helped shape the careers of several artists, including himself, Eddy Kenzo, Sizza Man, Buchaman, Toolman, Zex Bilangilangi, Dax Vibez, and Maro.
He also credited Jose Chameleone for guiding and supporting musicians such as King Saha, Pallaso, and the late Mowzey Radio and Weasel.
He added that their willingness to invest in young talent greatly influenced Uganda’s modern music landscape and contributed significantly to the industry’s continued growth.
