Kampala, Uganda:12,Jan Veteran Ugandan opposition politician Dr. Kizza Besigye has sent a campaign donation to National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, while in detention. According to information shared on social media, the contribution was delivered on Dr. Besigye’s behalf through his associates, signaling solidarity among opposition leaders ahead of the forthcoming political activities. The donation is said to be aimed at supporting Bobi Wine’s ongoing political mobilization and campaign efforts. The gesture has been widely interpreted as a strong symbol of unity within Uganda’s opposition, particularly at a time when several opposition figures are facing legal and

political challenges. Supporters have praised the move, describing it as a message of resilience and cooperation despite pressure from state authorities. Dr. Besigye, a four-time presidential candidate, has previously emphasized the need for a united opposition to push for democratic reforms and respect for human rights in the country.
